Old Guildford – Our Classrooms
Here at Bright Beginnings Learning Centre Old Guilford we have three individualised classrooms. All classrooms are equipped with State of the Art resources focused on the age of the children and their developmental needs! With fresh natural sunlight and wide open learning spaces, the children have an opportunity to learn, grow and develop freely and comfortably.
Welcome to the Miracles Room! – 6 weeks old to 18 months old
Our Miracles Room is home to the youngest children in the centre. It features smaller furniture and open learning environments to make navigating the space and accessing all its resources a breeze for all the children, encouraging independence and exploration. This room also features large low lying windows overlooking the backyard allowing plenty of natural light as well as giving the children the opportunity to observe nature from indoors. The outdoor play space has been specifically designed for this age group featuring sensory play walls and plenty of open space for the children to crawl, walk and have fun with nature.
This area is only for this age group so the children can feel safe and secure within their environment. In the Miracles Room we provide nurturing loving care to our children as we establish and build relationships with them. We also follow the children’s individual routines to make sure that their day is kept constant with your routine at home. This helps during the transition period into beginning care as well as to make sure their needs are met at all times.
In this room, we have one educator to every four babies.
Welcome to the Wonders Room!
18 months to 3 years old
Our Wonders Room is the home to our toddlers. The room offers the children a large wide open space with an abundance of natural light coming in from the floor to ceiling windows that overlook the outdoor play space. The Wonders room is a place to experiment, create and build. It has been designed to allow the children to explore their independence and self-help skills, with areas for group learning as well as space for one to one learning opportunities.
The Wonders room leads onto a shared playground for both the children in the Wonders room as well as those children in the Marvels room, this shared outdoor space extends the children’s learning as they connect with nature through the water play billabong, or discover what’s in the jungle bush. Outside the children can also play in the sand, the mud kitchens or run on the open grass play area. In the Wonders Room we understand just how curious they are about the world around them, we use this curiosity as well as the Early Years Learning Framework to guide our curriculum ensuring all the fundamental learning takes place.
In this room, we adopt an educator to child ratio of 1:5
Welcome to the Marvels Room! – 3 years to 5 years old
Our Marvels Room is home to our preschoolers. This room includes a variety of play spaces which allow the children to connect with people, places, knowledge and technology. The room provides ample opportunities for group learning experiences as well as one to one learning opportunities. We place a strong emphasis on child engagement and modify our teaching practices to suit the individual needs of the child. In the Marvels Room the children take part in our unique school readiness program that not only sets children up for the best academic start to Primary school but also ensures each child is socially and emotionally ready for the challenges they will face at school.
Our program has been tried and tested and our approach comes highly recommended from school principals and teachers. Why choose BBLC
At Bright Beginnings we believe that ongoing training and reflection is of upmost importance to enable them to continuously provide the highest quality educational curriculum for your children. This is why once a month all our educators attend training sessions, held after hours at the Centre as well as monthly reflective meetings, to ensure we only deliver best practices in all areas. The educators are always given the opportunity to grow and have consistent ongoing support. We also love to get together and have staff outing each month which allows up to grow as a team and connect as a family! We then bring that connection and family feeling within our centre and apply it to our children and families!
